Eiglarsh asserted that Brown was simply protecting himself from Nantambu.

“The actions he was forced to take were exclusively in defense against the reported victim’s violent conduct. Brown was targeted that night and responded within his legal entitlement to protect himself,” Eiglarsh stated.

Brown was not immediately detained because at first officers did not recognize Nantambu as a affected party. It not until subsequently in May that Nantambu provided a detailed testimony about the event to officers and identified Brown as the perpetrator, the document says.
